My Bio
The moment I opened a Shakespeare I loved English. My other favorite authors include Spenser, Zafon, Wilde, Coelho etc. My taste for contemporary literature is gradually but surely expanding, hopefully, as I diversify my reading. I tinker around with novels, preferring gothic novels and rather artistic ones, such as The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Zafon. I’ve yet to start a marathon for the Classics, but hopefully that will realize itself soon.

Current Residence: Canada
Favourite genre of music: R&B, dance, classical, techno
Operating System: Windows 7

Wallpaper of choice: The one I'm using. Obviously.

The regulations that each form entail vary, and they include meter, rhyme sequence, tone, speaker and target audience; this is, of course, not by any means an exhaustive list. For the sake of simplicity, the most traditional understandings of the forms will be assumed. Structure provides for poetry what time signatures provide for a score of mus

Every half serious poet has heard the advice to write from the heart; the heart: that bright chalice of inspiration, that effervescent vessel at times, that weeping willow at others. Or maybe we have heard that if something does not “write itself” the piece is not going to be as good as it could be. Although there are certain truths to these views, it would be best to dispel any illusions as quickly as possible. Oscar Wilde says, “All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling. To be natural is to be obvious, and to be obvious is to be inartistic.” But let us digress for a moment and talk about art in general. Art is quite a

Hmm?

Just another university child trying to self-medicate in a calm and orderly fashion. Well I must say I'm terribly boring and hope that doesn't impede (impeach?) on my work. People say I write old-style and I guess the Romantics are quite my heroes. Hang about, that would make me happy, and share, critique and whatever else. Who's next, who's next, who's next? Who's next! (Oh dear, must stop watching Tom Lehrer). For archives of work, please do visit me http://coffeeatmine.wordpress.com. Much obliged orz.
